Often thought of as the original Russian nesting doll, these simply designed matryoshka are hand painted in the town of Seminov near Nizhny Novgorod, Russias third largest city. Still a popular and yet inexpensive choice.

Seminov factory authenticity label on the bottom of the first piece.

Stands approximately 15 cms high.

Artists repair to front of first piece and small smudge on face of 2nd piece.

Minor marks on some of the other pieces.
